Classic Trip through Morocco
Day 2 – Marrakech
Arrival in Marrakech. Rest of day free. Free dinner and accommodation in riad marana.
Day 3 – Marrakech – The high atlas – Kasbah Telouate – Kasbah
Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning. Pick up at the hotel or Riad. We will leave for Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas through the amazing Tizi n’Tichka port, 2,260 meters high.
Shortly after crossing the Atlas we will take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. Passing through various Berber villages, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city that is more than 800 years old. Films such as Gladiator or The Kingdom of Heaven have been filmed there. At the end of the visits we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the film studios.
Dinner and overnight at Riad Bouchedor or Dar Chamaa.
Day 4 – Ouarzazate – Anti atlas – Draa Valley – N’kob – Tazzarine – Mharech Ouzina
After breakfast and visiting the Kasbah Taourirt, we will head towards Zagora, crossing the Anti Atlas mountains and passing through the Tizi n Tinifift pass, at an altitude of 1,600 meters.
Entering the Draa Valley along a track we will see various Berber villages and kasbahs. Leaving the N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif villages behind, we will take another track that crosses remote villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these sections are the ones covered during the Dakar Rally. In the afternoon we will be in the town of Ramlia.

Day 5 – Ouzina – Jdaid – Khamlia – Merzouga
In the morning, we will continue on the Rally kar track crossing more lonely villages. We will cross wadis (dry riverbeds), oases and the Ouzina dunes. We will visit the town of Ouzina. Following the route we will visit the well-known town of Khamlia, a descendant of the slaves that came from Africa, and you will be able to enjoy its amazing folk music. From Khamlia we will take the road in the direction of Merzouga, the highest dunes in Morocco.
Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Nomad Palace Merzouga.
Day 6 – Merzouga – Khamlia – Visit the Nomads – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will go through another of the tracks used in the “Paris-Dakar Rally” visiting desert nomads with whom we will have tea and see the oasis where some films such as “Sahara” were filmed, starring Penélope Cruz. After eating we will change the traction of the 4×4 for that of animal traction. The dromedaries will take us into the dune desert to be able to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. This night will be special, we will sleep in the dunes in nomadic tents (haimas).
Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, with music and a starry sky like you have never seen.

Day 7 – Mezouga Desert – Erfoud – Dades Gorges
Today it is time to get up early to be able to contemplate the majestic sunrise in the desert, a spectacle of light and silence that will impress us. After sunrise we will go back to the hotel in dromedaries to shower and have breakfast. We will first visit the town of Hamlia or town of the blacks, named after the descendants of slaves from sub-Saharan Africa. Stop at a Berber house to discover their way of life. Then we continue the route to Erfoud and from here we will reach the Todra gorges whose walls narrow and rise to about 300 m in height. Once we have visited this spectacular landscape, we will go to the Dades Valley where we will spend the night. Dinner and accommodation in the riad.
Day 8 – Dades Gorges – Skoura – Marrakech
After breakfast we will begin the trip back to Marrakech passing through the Dades Valley or valley of the thousand kasbash, although the figure is somewhat exaggerated, the truth is that these adobe fortresses are very numerous. We will continue the route passing through the Valley of the Roses, a beautiful landscape of cultivated fields at the foot of the High Atlas. From here we will continue towards the palm grove of Skoura, an oasis of greenery that has some 700,000 palm trees and hundreds of kasbash. Arrival in Ouarzazate where we will take the road to Marrakech.
Day 9 – Marrakech
Breakfast. Free time until the agreed time for transfer to the airport to take your return flight.
