From the North to the South of Morocco
Day 1 – Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
You are private, the tour begins with a view of the Atlas Mountains as we meander through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to the Unesco World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, made famous on the big screen by movies like Gladiator and the famous HBO series Game of Thrones. We will then continue to Ouarzazate to visit Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah located in the city and then to the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Roses Festival. Then, we will go to Dades Gorges where we will spend this night.
Day 2 – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Here we will continue our tour and visit the Todra Valley, a colorful and narrow canyon famous for lovers of the outdoors. We will then drive through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis city known as the gate to the Sahara desert and renowned for its unique fossils. There we can visit a local factory that produces handicrafts and house decorations made from fossils, there is also a local shop where you can buy items such as souvenirs. From there we will continue to Rissani where we will visit the local souk and then drive into the desert to reach Merzouga. Arriving at a checkpoint, we leave the vehicle and begin our camel ride through the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides, arriving at the Merzouga desert camp, where we will spend the night in Berbere tents. This spectacular night will become unforgettable with a unique and traditional Berber dinner under starlight topped by tribal music around a desert campfire.
Day 3 – Merzouga Desert – Gnawa de Khamlia – Merzouga
This day will be dedicated to exploring the desert of Merzouga. You will have the chance to “do your own thing”, with the option to either trek a camel or explore via the comfort of a 4×4. We will also visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional music. We simply cannot miss the opportunity to appreciate the sunset behind the dunes of the bewildering Sahara desert. Night on a local road.
Day 4 – Merzouga – Midelt – ifran – Fes
After an early start to watch the desert sunrise, we will ride the camel back to a nearby local hotel where you will have a chance to freshen up. After breakfast, at the hotel, we will drive through Rissani and Erfoud until we reach Midelt in the Atlas Mountains. There, we can stop for lunch before driving to Fez, where we will spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 5 – Fes – Chefchaouen
We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, meandering through its alleys and narrow streets. Fes consists of three well differentiated parts; Fes el Bali (UNESCO World Heritage Site) being the oldest of the three with more than 9,000 narrow streets and alleys fortified by a large wall, Fes-Jdid “new Fez” (home of the Jewish quarter) and the “Ville Nouvelle”, the newest sector of Fez created during the French occupation. Later in the day, we will head to Chefchaoune, where we will spend the night.
Day 6 – Chefchaouen – Marrakech
Today we visit the main attractions and monuments of Chefchaouen, before heading to your hotel in Marrakech.
Day 7 – Marrakech – Transfer to the airport
Today it depends on your flight and we will transfer you to the airport where our service will end.
