Day 1 – Marrakech Airport
Arrival at Marrakech airport, our driver will pick you up and you will have the day to relax while you explore the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and the souks or just relax in your Riad/Hotel.
Day 2 – Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat
After breakfast, departure to Casablanca. Once there we will begin the visit of the economic metropolis of Morocco: The place of the United Nations, Anfa and at the end, the path of the edge is revealed between sky, earth and sea The Hassan II mosque, architectural jewel of the Muslim faith; Fish lunch at a local Cornish restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to Rabat. Visit the administrative capital of the kingdom: the royal palace, the Hassan tower, the most famous monument of the city and symbol of the Almohad dynasty, the prestigious mausoleum of Mohamed V decorated with marble, carved cedar, gilded bronze chandelier and white onyx. Check inside the hotel; Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 – Rabat – Meknes – Fes
Departure from Rabat towards the holy city of Moulay Idriss (first sultan of Morocco) then Meknes, the “Moroccan Versailles”. Founded at the end of the s. XVII, the city is surrounded by a triple wall of 40 km and formed by two agglomerations: the Medina, which houses the most beautiful gate in Morocco, Bab El Mansour, and on the other side, the modern city. After the visit, you will continue to Fez through the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Dinner and accommodation at the Riad.
Day 4 – Guided tour of the city of Fez
Fez is the largest city in the country after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1 million. This city is the former capital and one of the four imperial cities of the country. Fez comprises three well differentiated parts, Fez El Bali, which is the oldest part surrounded by a great wall, where there are more than 9,000 narrow and allied streets, Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, headquarters of the Mellah, the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle la The newer section of Fez created during the French occupation. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow and allied streets, the oldest university in the world is located; Al-Karaouine University, founded in 859 AD. This University is still working today, then we will return to your riad.
Day 5 – Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga desert
Today we make our trip to the desert admiring the change of landscapes while we cross the Middle Atlas Mountain. We stop at Ifrane to take a photo, this town known as “Switzerland of Morocco”, then we continue our day through the cedar forest where we will encounter barbarian monkeys. We will head to the golden dunes in Merzouga driving through Midelt, known for the best quality of apples in Morocco, the ziz valley and Erfoud, “the capital of fossils and mable”. Upon arrival, you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel driver, to explore the interior of the mysterious Erg-Chebbi sand sea. Here you will spend the night under the stars or, if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served and you will enjoy the night dancing to the music or watching the stars. Night in the desert camp.
Day 6 – Merzouga – Tinjdad – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and get ready for another day full of adventures. We will start in Rissani, known for its souk (local market), then continue our way to the famous Todra Gorges via Tinghir. On the way we visit the Khatarat (irrigation canal). Lunch will be served at one of the restaurants along the way. Later, we will continue the path along the river to reach the Gorges, where you will have a short walk through this extraordinary place, while enjoying the view on the high rocky walls (up to 300 meters). Then we will go to Boumalne Dades, Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
After breakfast, we start our day through the path of the thousand kasbahs along the Valley of roses with earthen architecture that leads to the palm grove of Skoura and Ouarzazate, Cenima city known as “African Hollywood”. We will have lunch in the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi N Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will pause to enjoy the panoramic views and visit the argan oil cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Night in your Riad.
Day 8 – Marrakech airport
Breakfast and free morning, at the agreed time transfer to the airport and end of our services.
